A loving church that leads people to Christ and connects them to the local church. A welcoming church that serves God by serving it’s local community. A relevant church that helps people grow in their faith and spiritual maturity. A growing church that stays intimate because of multiple sites. That and more is what we are aiming for.
It all started back in 2004 with Sebastiaan van Wessem’s vision for an international church in his town of origin: Hilversum. In September 2005 the Van Wessems, the Bradfords and a church planting team began to meet at the Bradford’s home. Over time, thanks to various events, publicity, our website and above all, God’s leading, the original core group began to grow. By the time Thousand Hills officially opened her doors in a wooden chapel in April 2006, we had a regular attendance of 60 people. Just one month later we relocated to our current location.
In 2012 Thousand Hills started a second Sunday service in Dutch and took ownership of the Zuiderkerk, a beautiful church building dating to the early 1920s. Our services can be best described as open, welcoming and vibrant. Special children’s programs allow the children to connect with each other and learn at their own level about Jesus. People from over 30 countries attend Thousand Hills nowadays and new people are being welcomed every week.
Can we welcome you this Sunday?
