The Pastoral Lead Team (PLT) of Thousand Hills includes Sebastiaan van Wessem (Lead Pastor), Klaas van Mill (Executive Pastor), David White (Care and Support Pastor), John Harris (Discipleship Pastor), Kathy Harris (Communication and Outreach Pastor) and Jim Rossi (currently on furlough).
Sebastiaan and Eva van Wessem are the founders of Thousand Hills and Sebastiaan is the Lead Pastor. Sebastiaan grew up in the city of Hilversum, and has a Master’s degree in Economics from the University of Amsterdam and a Master of Theology from Continental Theological Seminary / University of Wales. Sebastiaan is the founder and coordinator of the Europe Advance church planting network. He regularly preaches both in the Netherlands and abroad, visiting places as far apart as the United States, Brazil, Suriname, Spain, Belgium, Austria, and the Democratic Republic of Congo.
Eva originally comes from Austria, but has spent most of the last few years living in Hilversum. Eva works as an office manager and is a mom to twin boys William and Miles.

Klaas and Megan van Mill have been members at Thousand Hills since the end of 2009. Megan is South African and Klaas is Dutch, although he has lived outside the Netherlands for the greater part of the last 20 years. They met when they were both working for Medair, a Christian emergency relief organisation, Megan in Switzerland and Klaas in Sudan.
Prior to switching to Medair, Klaas worked in various senior management roles in a large multinational company for 20 years. In addition to running a small management consultancy from home, Klaas is now the Executive Pastor at Thousand Hills. Some of his responsibilities include: translating vision into strategy, human resources, finance and organizational structure.
Megan had a financial background, before deciding to change direction and complete a masters degree in development & mission studies in Oxford. She is now involved in various ministries in the church. Klaas and Megan have two young children, Margaux and Joshua.
David and Margaret White have been Thousand Hills members since July 2007. Originally from Scotland, they moved to The Netherlands in 1987 and in 1999, spent a 2-year period in North Carolina, USA. David formerly worked as Clinical Quality Assurance Auditor in the pharmaceutical industry now retired and started his own Quality Assurance consultancy company. He is experienced in church development in the USA and The Netherlands. David is our Care and Support Pastor with responsibilities for church care, pastoral care, celebration support, newcomer integration and prayer & intercession. Margaret leads the Pastoral Care ministry in Thousand Hills.
John and Kathy Harris are missionaries with International Teams and have been serving in Europe for 10 years. They have been members at Thousand Hills since 2009. John, as Discipleship Pastor, is involved in preaching and teaching as well as mentoring the leaders of KidsQuest and Mosaic. Kathy is responsible for Communications (website, bulletins, promotion) and Outreach which includes missions. They have two teenage sons, André and Dane.
Jim and Dar Rossi. Jim is the Senior Associate Pastor at Thousand Hills. Originally from California, USA, Jim spent almost twenty years living in Brussels, Belgium where he taught at the Continental Theological Seminary before moving to the Netherlands almost six years ago. Besides helping Thousand Hills, Jim currently serves as the Vice President of Azusa Theological Seminary located at the Vrije Universiteit (VU) in Amsterdam. Also, he is currently a PhD candidate in Old Testament at the VU and the Field Moderator for the USA Assemblies of God – Netherlands field. Jim has been in ministry for 40 years and married to Dar for 38 years. Dar organises the coffee team and teaches in KidsQuest. The Rossis are on furlough in the USA for 2011.
