Roy and Juliana Abraham are from the south of India. Roy has been involved with Thousand Hills since the beginning. Roy came to the Netherlands as a student and currently is working in a pharmaceutical company. Juliana joined him in 2008. Both are active members of the church and help out with different ministries in whatever way they can.

Leo and Rian Provoost have been very enthusiastic about Thousand Hills since they joined in 2008 because they sense God’s work in the community and they love the times of worship.
Leo works in the perfumery business as a fragrance engineer and Rian works as a registered nurse in Tergooi Ziekenhuizen. They have 5 children aged 9 to 19, one of whom is already in heaven. They have been involved in pastoral care since 1995 but say they are still learning about it through the Holy Spirit and through the people they talk with. Leo is a Life Group leader and he also leads the interdenominational City Prayer for Hilversum. Rian is leading an interdenominational women’s organisation in Hilversum called ‘Aglow’. They are eager to see God’s love at work in people’s life.

Leon & Marjan Besters live in Baarn. They have been involved with Thousand Hills since 2006. Leon is an IT team manager for Universal Music while Marjan works as a nurse in a Salvation Army hospital in Baarn. As well as ensuring that the communion elements are always ready, Leon & Marjan focus on healthy relationships in the Church and on prayer activities
Ellis Jan and Bianca van den Hout are from Hilversum and joined Thousand Hills in 2010. Having three sons, the family is obviously full of action! The whole family has felt at home at Thousand Hills right from the beginning. Ellis Jan and Bianca both have a passion for people and are looking forward to serving within God’s Kingdom in many different ways. They also believe that you can make a real difference in people lives by showing God’s love in all you do.
Ellis Jan is a Business Manager within the Mechanical Industry and Bianca holds several part-time positions and strongly desires to bring a ‘servolution’ to her community through the different things she’s involved in. At Thousand Hills Bianca is a member of the care team and Ellis Jan is serving in various ministries including KidsQuest and event organisation.
Ellis Jan and Bianca are looking forward to meeting you!
Jan Willem and Jobine Gunnink were married in 1988, we have two daughters (Eva and Sophie) and one granddaughter (Lena). They live in Eemnes and have been involved in Thousand Hills since 2006. They both work in their own business called Fluger, a career consulting company.
During their time at Thousand Hills Jan Willem has been involved in the board of trustees and in life groups while Jobine has been involved in prayer and pastoral care.
Jan Willem & Jobine’s mission is to help you to grow in your personal relation with Jesus and to help you to discover His plan for your life. They want to see Thousand Hills as a church where relationships are built through personal interactions such as meals together and regularly hold ‘dinner with friends’ on a Friday evening.
As elders they want to serve God and Thousand Hills as his local church.
Henk and Marina Groenesteijn have been part of Thousand Hills since 2007. Henk is Dutch while Marina comes from Uruguay with Greek heritage. They met when they were both serving in mission. Marina likes to pray together with fellow believers while Henk is inspired by the children. Naturally they are involved in the prayer and kids’ ministry. They have two adolescent children, a girl and a boy, who help out with the younger kids in KidsQuest.
Henk & Marina are inspired by the worship time and community building while the international flavour of Thousand Hills adds an extra dimension to Sundays for them. For this couple knowing Christ means making Christ known.
