Local
Through HiP you can help people in Hilversum who are in need. Launched in Hilversum in April 2009, HiP is an organisation that matches those who need help with volunteers from 16 Hilversum churches who can provide it. As a volunteer, you can be the hands and feet of Christ in your own neighbourhood. See www.stichtinghip.nl or contact the HiP coordinator from our contacts page for more details.
Global mission
Thousand Hills supports a number of different global missions, and we welcome you to add to our support.
Richard and Pita Zevenbergen – Brazil
The Zevenbergen family have been missionaries in Brazil since 2005 and are involved in an international mission training school and church planting. You can find out more about them at their website www.zevenbergenzending.nl
Wim and Sonja Odendaal – Suriname
The Odendaals are involved in building orphanages called ‘Houses of Hope’ for children and teenagers who have been abused and neglected. These houses not only provide, but they also provide education and a loving family atmosphere. For more information about their mission, visit the website at www.hoh-suriname.com.
Annabelle Plaza
Born and raised in Surigao del Norte in the Philippines, Annabelle Plaza has a degree in Bachelor of Science in Education and a passion is to tell unreached and remote indigenous tribes about the love and hope of Jesus Christ. Annabelle has been serving in Surigao del Norte as a missionary through Youth With A Mission since October 1989. She runs the small YWAM Center in Surigao City, hosts outreach teams, oversees the different ministries, teaches locals about having a personal relationship with Jesus and mobilises and networks with local churches. Since 2003, she has been the coordinator of the Students Sponsorship Programme of Surigao, which helps poor students afford an educationnd attend school.
