Are you interested in creating a Servolution in the community around us? Join a special evening at the church on 22 February at 20:00. Jerry and Gabriel will share their vision and some ideas for outreach in 2012. We will also try to plan some concrete steps forward on the start of several projects. You can adopt a project with your life group or a group of friends, or just help out.

Ideas are still very welcome, contact Jerry and explain the idea and how to get it started.

You can also join a few people from Thousand Hills each Saturday at lunch time as they share a lunch with people in need in the streets of Hilversum. Meet the team at 11:30 at the meeting point of the station (snack bar side). If you can’t make it you might want to purchase the food one week. Contact Jerry how you can get involved bringing a Servolution to the streets of Hilversum.

A new message series called Outward Bound is starting on 5 February. Titus was a young leader of a church on the isle of Crete facing a challenging situation. Paul writes to encourage Titus that as a follower of Jesus and as a leader he is not only called into a relationship with Jesus, but also to live out his God given mission in the world each day.

Join us for this 3 week series as we explore the book of Titus and learn to be outward bound on our mission for Jesus.

Moms Connect is hosting a special evening get-together for all moms tonight. Annemarie Koning, a mom of two boys, will be sharing a story of hope in raising a child with autism. Join us for a fun, informative evening with other moms at the home of Megan van Mill (Graaf Florislaan 24, Hilversum) from 20.00 – 22.00. We look forward to sharing another special evening together. All moms are welcome (no matter the age of your children) Feel free to invite a friend along as well. Come and join in the moms’ night out!

Mom’s Connect is a group for moms of 0-4yrs olds who meet the first Thursday of every month in the church nursery. A time to share and encourage one another and allow the kids to play in a fun environment with others. Contact momsconnect@thousandhills.cc for more details.

Doors represent new opportunities, choices and possibilities. As we start 2012 join us for the new series Doors. In this series we close the door to the past and open the door to the new year with all it offers us as we move forward in our journey with God. This series will run from 8 – 22 January.

There are many ways, shapes and forms in which you can serve here at Thousand Hills. One of them is to serve in a practical way: helping for two hours a week cleaning and preparing the Sanctuary (not on Sundays). This helps to create a welcoming atmosphere for both visitors and ourselves.

Have you been looking for an opportunity like this? Or do you feel this could be a useful way for you to contribute to the church? Please contact Rudy. He can provide you with additional information and help you find your way in the facility ministry.

On Sunday 29 January an alpha information meeting will be held in room 1 (funhouse) at 12:45. This will be an informal gathering for people who want to find out more about Alpha and for people who have already signed up for the next Alpha-course. Food will be provided as well as information about Alpha, Alpha evenings, dates and content of each evening.

Former participants of the Alpha-course will also attend this meeting. They can answer any of your questions and provide first-hand information from a participants-perspective. This one-hour meeting will help you decide if the Alpha-course would be something for you in the future. Come and join us for one hour Sunday 29th at 12.45.

Hillsong Conference will be held in Holland this year from October 3-5. This is a great chance to be refreshed and inspired and learn from a very innovative church. Make sure you register before the end of January and save £45. Check out www.hillsongconference.eu for all you need to know.

At present we cannot offer regular nursery (0, 1, 2 yrs) during the 11:15 service. If you’re a parent or anyone else who loves hanging out with babies then please contact Esther  to see how you can help in this growing area of our church. Commitment does not need to be more than once per month.

Parents are welcome to use the nursery room during the service if needed but must stay with their children.
