The Source of Hope
Have you been looking for joy and peace in your life? They're the result of a hope that only God can give. Romans 15:13 describes God as the source of hope. Join Sebastiaan as he talks about how we can lay hold of God's promises of hope, joy and peace.
Preached by Sebastiaan Van Wessem on 26 December 2010 (Sermons in English).
When the Infinite Became an Infant
Who is Jesus? Who is He, really? John 1 calls him "the Word." But why? During this Christmas Eve message, Sebastiaan suggests that this is His title because God sent Him to this world as His communication to us. He has revealed God to us. When we know Christ, we know Who God is. And God wants to offer us life, abundant and eternal life.
Preached by Sebastiaan Van Wessem on 24 December 2010 (Other events).
Hope of Glory
God has a great plan for this world. He will bring light, justice, peace, wholeness and glory so that the whole world will see it. When Jesus comes into our lives, that same promise will become reality in our lives so that the people around us will see the difference.
Preached by Klaas van Mill on 19 December 2010 (Sermons in English).
Hope of Redemption
What is redemption? How does this transform our lives? Join Sebastiaan as he unveils how we can be forgiven, empowered by the Holy Spirit and transformed by God's word. That's what the Redeemer, Jesus Christ, offers to us!
Preached by Sebastiaan Van Wessem on 12 December 2010 (Sermons in English).
I believe in God but I don’t love others
Join Jim Rossi as he speaks about King Rehoboam, a practical atheist who seemingly believed in God, but his actions proved otherwise. He acted in selfish ways, ignored the plight of others, and treated others harshly, without compassion. True followers of Christ love God, but also love others.
Preached by Jim Rossi on 5 December 2010 (Sermons in English).
I believe in God but trust in other things
Many people say they are Christian and believe in God, but do they actually trust God and think he has the best for their lives? In many cases, people trust in all other things besides God. Join Sebastiaan as he talks about the life of Solomon and gives some practical advice how we can make sure we keep trusting in God
Preached by Sebastiaan Van Wessem on 28 November 2010 (Sermons in English).
All Leadership Meeting November 2010
This is the talk of Sebastiaan and John during the All Leadership Meeting of November 25, 2010. They're zooming in on what it means to be a balanced follower of Christ and how we can make sure our ministries are in balance.
Preached by Sebastiaan Van Wessem on 25 November 2010 (Other events).
I believe in God but don't go overboard
Isn't our faith a private thing? That's what many people think. When the ark of the Covenant was brought into Jerusalem, King David was all fired up, dancing, jumping and shouting. His wife Michal looked down on him. She thought he went overboard with his faith. Luke Walters talks about Michal's story and contrasts it with another story in the Bible about someone who was willing to go all the way with his faith.
Preached by Luke Walters on 21 November 2010 (Sermons in English).
I believe in God but I don't fear Him
In the second message of our Practical Atheist series we take a look at the topic: I believe in God but don't fear him. What does it mean to fear God? Does somebody who believes in God need to fear God? Join John Harris as he takes a look at the life of Saul, the first king of Israel, and see how having a healthy understanding of fearing God can actually help us in our relationship with God.
Preached by John Harris on 14 November 2010 (Sermons in English).
I believe in God but I don't know Him
Do you believe in God? How does that make a difference in your daily life? Do you really know Him personally? How do you know if you really know Him personally? Join Sebastiaan as he explores what difference it makes in our lives if we have a personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ.
Preached by Sebastiaan Van Wessem on 7 November 2010 (Sermons in English).
