Greg Surratt is one of the most innovative pastors from the United States and has been one of Thousand Hills’ overseers for a couple of years.

On Sunday, 2 June, Greg will be at Thousand Hills again to preach another inspiring and encouraging message. He will speak in both services. Don’t miss this opportunity to listen to this man who has helped inspire the Thousand Hills vision. And… bring a friend!

Greg lives in the US, in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, and is married to Debbie. They have four children and 9 grandchildren. Greg is the Lead Pastor of Seacoast Church, a church with 13 locations in South Carolina, North Carolina and Georgia. Each weekend they run close to 40 services in all these locations.

He is also the President of the Association of Related Churches (ARC), a very innovative relational American church planting network that is now influencing the whole world. Thousand Hills is one of the first European Churches that is part of ARC.

It has been a while since the last women’s event, apart from the Esther study that is currently running. On June 14th we will have a fun evening of connecting, watching a short film, hearing some reflections and a few surprises! The evening will start at 19.30. € 5,00 per person will help cover the costs for this great night out.

We will celebrate our seventh anniversary as a church on May 26th. We have a lot to be thankful for so we will be looking back at what God has done in and through us the past seven years. We will be baptising at least 16 people in our brand new built-in baptism pool. These people have decided to follow Jesus and were ready for the next step in their walk of faith.  We will also be celebrating the completion of the Sanctuary make-over and collect the first Heart for the House offering.

Do you remember the great night we had in December when the Fire Choir caused an abundantly crowded and cheerful church? They’re back in Thousand Hills on May 26th starting at 19.00 as part of their concert tour Keep on singin’.

Bring your family, neighbours and friends to this special sing-along night filled with contemporary black gospel songs brought to you by the cross-cultural Fire Choir.

On June 6th we will host a one day conference initiated by the Association of Related Churches (ARC) called All Access Exchanges. Thousand Hills is part of ARC.

So what’s ARC? In president Greg Surrat’s words:”we are an association of relational churches working with church planters, church leaders and churches  in transition to provide support, guidance and resources to launch and grow life-giving churches.”

What can you expect on this great day?

You will have the opportunity to interact with and learn from some of the leading church pastors from around the world, like Greg Surrat, Peter Haas, Matt Fry and our own lead pastor Sebastiaan van Wessem. You can listen to their stories, learn from their mistakes, ask lots of questions, laugh at their preacher jokes and walk away with new friendships.
